Additonal Stuff for Military

Magazines of any hobby. (Someone is bound to share the interest, and besides, they say they love to read anything from home. I remember when I was in Russia, it was a treat just to read anything in English!)

Bibles. Small. Modern English. (I would guess a good bit of this younger generation have been unchurched. They need a version that's easy to read. These aren't requestede, but you and I know we don't always ask for what we REALLY need:)

Kellogg's cereal. Maybe even those multi-pack of single-serving. But large boxes of cereal are fine.

Music CDs. All genres.

TV shows on DVD. They are longing to catch up with what's happening in AMerican pop culture.

Books. I would suggest paperbacks you're ready to get rid of, or finding them very cheap secondhand.

Ziploc bags in any size.

THat's all I can think of for now.

Oh, one of my themes is Hodge Podge Lodge. I sent miscellaneous stuff in a box so there's "something for everyone" (in my dreams). If it's liquid, please double ziploc bag it. IF it can make a mess, it will. Thanks again.

Hi there

I just wanted to say that I think that this is such a wonderful thing that you are doing for our troops. It doesn't matter where you lean politically or regarding the war, these are our young boys and girls so far away from their home.

THank you for doing this for them

btw.. i talked to Laurie on the phone today, no she hasn't broken her computer fast ;), and we are in agreement that this is such a needed ministry that you are doing.

I don't know if you could use it.. but i have a small spanish new testament that i could give you.

let me know

I really appreciate your spurring me into sending a box to someone in the military. And, then, hopefully more boxes.
Our church sends a lot of them and we help with what goes inside.
I have one box, now I have to finish filling it. My shopping is so sporatic I won't get it filled as quick as I should, BUT I WILL DO IT !!
Thank you for all your lists, a wonderful help.

Karen, thanks for being willing to donate the Spanish NT. I'll glady take it! I'm sure it'll be appreciated.

Betty, I am thrilled your church is doing this. Going beyond one's own little church, little family, little community, little world is what the Great Commission is all about.

I talked with the saint who is in charge of getting the boxes together and I am going along with the church. I plan to finish up my shopping Tuesday and pay for the mailings of a couple boxes. This way I can be sure it will get done.
Thank you for your encouragement.
Much love,
Betty G
