My mom makes us do this every Christmas, so answering here will save me from scrambling to write mine down when it comes time to do it at my mom's house. :)
Let's see... Top of the list: birth of my baby girl. It was a labor and delivery of my dreams (I know that sounds crazy, but it's true), but even better was the gift of Bella that God gave to our family. We absolutely adore her.
The boys' 3rd birthday party was a blast. WE had it at a local park, had homemade icecream sandwiches, and great friends and memories for the boys. They still mention the party and it was in August, so I felt like I got it right as a mom...that'll top the list of any good memories for any mom!
My birthday this year..my hubby surprised me by arranging a day for just the two of us, and it was for the day before my bday, so I didn't have to go through the whole, "will he have gotten me a card this year or will he have done something for me, etc.?" Just not having to fight my flesh about this was gift enough! The day alone with him to eat wherever I wanted to and do whatever I wanted to was an added bonus.
Thanks for making me think of those things...I had been allowing the darkness of some of our more recent trials cloud the blessings God's granted us this year.
