This 'n That

I'm going to try a gluten-free diet this month.  My sister and nieces all lost weight quickly that way, and they felt more physically and mentally "with it." I also might add that my sister's asthma improved considerably as  a result. I don't have asthma, but just thought I'd throw that out there for anyone who  might, and is desperate for a hint of help.

However, back up the truck to a very gluten laden day--my birthday in August. I sort of forgot to blog about that with pictures. What was I thinking? The picture below is missing my oldest son and daughter-in-law. You take what you can get at my age in terms of little chickies in the nest on special days.

So no more of this kind of yummy birthday cake made by my wonderful son and his fiancee'.
It's called Too Much Chocolate.   I  think that's a misnomer. Perfect amount of chocolate: chocolate pudding, chocolate chips, chocolate cake mix, chocolate frosting.  I am not a
chocoholic, but it seems I crave it on my birthday. My lovies were happy to oblige.

This is my clothesline. It's the top bar of our deck swing. Can you tell what my favorite color is? And by the way, the camo swim trunks are not mine. I'm going to hang my clothes outside for as long as the weather stays warm and gorgeous like it has been.

Hanging clothes out on the hangers certainly makes it easy to transfer them right to my closet. No clothespins, no folding needed.  And so far, the birds have never pooped on my line. What are the odds of that?

On a side note, the professional make-up woman at the Estee Lauder counter told me that my skin tones are pink, not yellow, and so pink hues look good on me. For the past 20 years I've been convinced I was an autumn, and shunned pink. How can a Color Me Beautiful consultant tell me in 1980-something that fall colors are best on me? This lady convinced me that jewel tones are. I don't know, but I think the EL lady was right about the skin tones, but the CMB gal was taking cues from my brunette hair and hazel eyes. I'm not sure what to think!

I promise the love story with pictures is coming. (Part 2, remember?)  I am waiting for that mental sharpness to come to me that is supposed to be a byproduct of gluten-free eating.  I hope that's all it takes cuz I loves me some bread and I hates me some head fog.  And I could stand to minimize my gluteus maximus while I'm at it.

I'm a blue eyed brunette and wear bright jewel tones. Good luck with the gluten free. Our market has two aisles of gluten free foods so I think its easier to follow nowadays.

Good luck with the change in diet. It will be hard at first but when you start feeling better it will be worth it.

I'm not a chocoholic either but sometimes it's the only thing that hits the spot. That one looks yummy!

I had my colors done also way back when and was told I was a 'cool' but there are some colors I was told not to wear that when I do, I get the most compliments! Go figure. I say, wear what you feel good in!
