I ordered 144 little plastic gemstone rings for girls and that many rubber bouncy balls for the boys from Oriental Trading Co. They were supposed to come the 11th (two days ago). The shipment also contained patriotic stuff for the party, but I ended up going to the Factory Card Outlet to make up for that part of the shipment.
The rings and balls are all I'm lacking for gifties but it's a HUGE portion of the mission. I am so looking forward to it. At Oriental Trading you can get a lot of identical items in bulk for a very reasonable price. But if they don't come in, I'll be scrounging for truly last-minute gifts and paying a hefty price. It'd be worse than showing up empty-handed on Christmas at the nieces' and nephews' homes, cuz at least they would've gotten stuff from parents.
Please pray our package comes tomorrow. We leave Friday way before the mail arrives and I want to be packed completely by sundown. tomorrow.

Update: the toys from OT Co didn't come today, unfortunately. We shopped around today and found plastic dinosaurs and Bazooka gum for the boys, cute pencils and candy bracelets for the girls. Dr. Poane was willing to treat Trip, but Trip for some reason refused to go. Some people just don't mind suffering, I guess.
Time to pack while the sun shines. Will try to post late tonight.
Oh bummer. Is there a tracking. Can someone ship to you there or put it on the next flight?

Can you call the company, talk with a supervisor, have them overnight a new order ASAP, explain the situation? Never use the USPS. I only use UPS anymore I don't even like FED-EX. I would tell them you want them to try and get the order to you by the morning. Is that doable?
If not, do you have a Big Lots or an Ollie's? Can you get cheap stuff there? Then tell OT they need to refund your money for your order because it didn't come in time.

I called them a few mins ago and they said they have no record of my online order. I must've screwed up (my words, not theirs). But no harm done: we went to the Dollar STore and Five Below for toys and candy and spent about the same as what it cost with shipping the other.
No biggie, really. Just a bit time consuming.
